Back taxes

April 15th is the deadline for most people to file their individual income tax return and pay any tax owed. Tax returns are checked by the IRS for mathematical accuracy. If there is any money owed, you will be sent a bill. Generally, interest is charged on any unpaid tax from the due date of the return until the date of payment.

If taxes are not filed timely, nor paid timely, interest and penalties will be assessed. The minimum penalty is the smaller of $135 or 100% of the unpaid tax. The longer you delay filing, if taxes are owed, the more you will pay. Don’t delay any longer, we can help walk you through the process of getting your tax situation cleared up and current.
